Elephant Mzuri (beautiful) Bag

Elephant Bag

MZURI Collection was born on the couch in early 2016 as I recovered from Cerebral Malaria. Determined to keep my brain active as I recovered, a complete new series was created.
After quite a journey, it was great to finally see these ideas come to fruition.

So I welcome you to my MZURI Collection which means ‘beautiful’ in Swahili, as this is not only used for makeup, but showcases beautiful African fabrics; made to be seen!
Each bag, big enough for your ipad mini or money, keys, makeup, camera accessories, passport and travel documents, or used as a pencil case, measures 230mm x 145mm. Adorned with traditional African fabrics sourced on my many journeys throughout Africa which directly supports the locals that make them. They also have a small charm attached, with either Africa or Inspirational words.

Mzuri, a multipurpose bag is a treasure to own or give as a ‘beautiful’ gift.

If you prefer a certain coloured fabric on the outside, please choose your colour from the sample image and notify me on checkout. 🙂

Fabric colours from left to right; purple, blue, red, orange/blue, pink/lime, orange, green/pink, yellow, pink.

I bought an elephant bag and a meerkat bag as gifts (Sam is my go-to for presents for anyone!) and think I will have to go back and get another for myself. They are super cute – the bright fabrics compliment the black and white photography perfectly. As always, quality is impeccable, and the added bonus (which I think is extremely important when purchasing anything) is that you are supporting a talented photographer who is genuinely passionate about wildlife conservation and puts her heart and soul into supporting the communities she works alongside. Also, the bags are quite versatile and can be used for a number of things – as a purse, for phones, pencil case, make up.

I have two of Sam’s bags and I am absolutely delighted. I agree fully with Kylie Butler’s review!

I am so delighted that I met Sam Clark and her awesome prints and products through an online auction for Emoya. I currently have 4 of Sam’s lion art works and one Tanzania print on my office wall and am constantly on the look out for other pieces that Sam offers, with anticipation. I bought several of the bags (one beautiful and one Mzuri – lion and baby gorilla) with the intent of giving them as Christmas presents – alas they are still with me :). Though I have never met Sam personally, her pictures and the work she does for other organizations, through auctions and volunteer, are the essence of her soul. The products are top-notch and colorful, the artwork are powerful statements. Thanks Sam, you are a true artist of nature; keep up the fabulous work.
